Michael Peile, a 27 year old Agriculture & Business Adviser, initially came to David Allen for two weeks work experience whilst waiting for his GCSE results at the age of 16. He always thought about a career in Accountancy and soon decided that going into practice and learning whilst on the job was the right way to develop his career rather than going down the university route.
After successfully completing the AAT with System Training in 2004, Michael then studied towards his Chartered qualification in Newcastle which he completed in 2006. Michael is now the Manager of our Agriculture team and has recently be named as an Associate of the firm.
At David Allen, you can join our AAT-ACA training programme at 16.
Becky Bowness joined David Allen almost by accident during what was meant to be a gap year following the completion of her A levels at the age of 18. However, she soon realised that accountancy was the right career for her when she was offered the opportunity to train as a Chartered Accountant. After looking at the different options of study she chose the AAT-ACA Fast Track route as this route accredited any prior learning, therefore reducing the number of exams and length of time it took to qualify.
After several happy years working at David Allen, Becky has since moved on to work for one of the big four, PricewaterhouseCoopers in Newcastle as their International Tax Services Manager. In April 2012, Becky will join PricewaterhouseCoopers New York office to manage their UK tax team.
Training as a Chartered Accountant with David Allen can lead to an international career.
