David lives in Dalston with his wife Alison, son James and daughters Rebecca, Emily and Hannah. He grew up in Silloth and attended Silloth Community School and Nelson Thomlinson Secondary School before leaving at 16 to serve a four year multi skilled engineering apprenticeship with the Milk Marketing Board at Aspatria. He then gained an honours degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Newcastle Polytechnic before training as a Chartered Accountant with a Carlisle based practice.
A founder of the firm in 1997 and past Cumbrian ‘Businessman of the Year,’ David is committed to the future prosperity of the Cumbrian economy and its community.
David works with individuals and businesses to help them create and implement effective strategies to achieve their personal and corporate goals.
He has a practical and proactive approach that you’ll find refreshing and inspirational, along with enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit to help you succeed.
David is Chairman of Carlisle Youth Zone and is committed to improving the opportunities for young people in the area. He is also an Associate Director of the University of Cumbria and an Apprenticeship Ambassador for the North West.
