Cumbria Business AwardsThe Cumbria Business Awards 2007 were recently held at a formal ceremony at Cockermouth's Hundith Hill Hotel and accountancy practice David Allen & Co were announced as the winner of the Employer of the Year award.
David Allen & Co are committed to their staff and by investing in the ongoing training they encourage all employees in their development. They also understand how vital it is to look after their employees and the excellent team spirit and staff morale is just as important in developing a successful team.
David Allen & Co were also delighted when Tax Consultant Sarah Reilly won the award for Employee of the Year.
Sarah has been with the firm for over five years and is an inspiration to other employees. She has developed her role and built up fantastic relationships with her clients who see her as a valued advisor looking after their affairs.
Winning the Employee of the Year award is a reflection of all the hard work and dedication that Sarah has shown to David Allen & Co. (Click images below to enlarge).
New Office Extension
Our firm officially opened our new office extension on Wednesday 24 October 2007 and held a champagne reception for invited guests and staff. Mayor, Mrs Elizabeth Mallinson was present to undertake the opening of our enhanced premises.
The extension has increased our office space to over 12,000 square feet which highlights the impressive growth our firm has achieved. The ground floor now has a fantastic new reception area and the open plan design is modern and welcoming. The open design of the first floor is where many of the 60 specialised accounting and tax advisors are located and also incorporates a glazed gallery area with fantastic views over the local fells.
We are now looking forward to our future growth with a building that can match these expectations.
Our clients and staff are extremely loyal to the firm and have had to endure inconveniences during the building work but we would like to thank everyone for their patience and thank those involved in the construction and completion for all their hard work. It was built on time and on budget which is a credit to all those involved.
With our three-storey office extension complete and with business going from strength to strength we are looking forward to continued success and building on our reputation as a first class firm of Accountants.
