David Allen – Businessman of the Year

The C N Group Business Awards 2008 were held at Rheged last night and over 250 nominees and sponsors enjoyed a memorable evening.

Those attending the glittering awards were treated to a gala dinner in Rheged’s Mountain Hall and speeches by BBC financial reporter Adam Shaw and Tory MP David Mundell.

David Allen & Co sponsored the Training and Development Award category and Training and Development partner Alison Cartner went on stage to present the winners, Bells of Lazonby with their award.

Our firm was represented in two categories, Medium Business of the Year and David was nominated for Businessman of the Year.  

It was a fantastic achievement for David personally to be announced as the winner of Businessman of the Year.  It is through David’s hard work and dedication that has seen our firm grow and we have established a reputation for providing a refreshing and proactive approach.  Last year saw David Allen & Co complete our three story extension at our Barras Lane offices and we have plans in place to open offices in Penrith and Workington shortly.  It is certainly an exciting time for the firm and this award shows why David is held in such high regard within the business community.
