We are very proud to be a part of the charity Tic Toc’s ‘12 Defibs of Christmas’ campaign. The campaign is aimed at bringing local businesses and communities together to help make Carlisle and the surrounding area a safer place by finding sponsors and homes for 12 lifesaving defibrillators.
By having access to a defibrillator an individual’s chance of survival can be improved by up to 80% in the event of a cardiac arrest and with a staggering 30,000 cardiac arrests happening outside of hospitals every year, we didn’t hesitate to support this worthwhile campaign.
With sponsorship and help from our neighbours at Dalston Aggregates, Lawson Engineers, Metcalfe Developments, Brian Hetherington, First Engineering and Handy Concrete we are proud to be becoming a guardian of Barras Lane Estate’s very own defibrillator.
We would like to thank all of the businesses in our community for their support in helping us get our defibrillator and we can’t wait to have it installed at the start of December.
