2015 is set to be a big year for Microsoft

2015 is set to be big for Microsoft with the announcement that Windows 10 will be launched later this year.  With Windows 7 a great success, Microsoft launched Windows 8 followed by 8.1 which turned out to be less successful and not a great step forward for Microsoft.  Users of Windows 10 will note the skip of 9 straight to 10 which signifies this latest release and it being far removed from its predecessors.

At David Allen IT Solutions News we have been testing the technical preview release of Windows 10 since September 2014 and can say that we are very impressed.  This recent version resolves the problems that came with Windows 8.  Microsoft have bought back more of a business feel to the appearance of Windows 10 and reinstated the familiar, and missed, Windows start button that Windows 8 had.

Another great feature in Windows 10 includes multiple virtual desktops giving the user the ability to have virtual monitors and swap quickly between them.  Microsoft have designed Windows 10 to be fully compatible with tablets, touch screen PCs and standard desktops and laptops maintaining the same look and feel between each device.

More good news is that Windows 10 is expected to launch as a FREE UPGRADE to existing Windows 7 and Windows 8 users in their first year of ownership.
