National Minimum Wage
The National Minimum Wage rate increases with effect from October each year and is a legal right which covers all workers. Failure to pay the National Minimum Wage means you could be served with a notice requiring you to pay the arrears as well as a financial penalty.
The National Living Wage
With effect from April 2016 the National Living Wage is compulsory for all employees who are 25 and over.
