When it comes to auditing, there is a lot of work behind the scenes to ensure we can help companies to meet their statutory reporting obligations.
Natasha Ayre, Accounts and Audit Senior is one of those colleagues working behind the scenes of our specialist team. She has been a member of the David Allen team for six years and has been in the accounting industry since the age of sixteen, starting as an accounts apprentice. She recognised David Allen as a company where she could take the next step and further her career.
Natasha said: “Clients might not always see the work happening behind the scenes but we are always busy preparing for the audit prior to visiting the clients premises, this allows us to use our time effectively while out at clients, meaning the clients get the most out of our work. Our advanced planning makes the audit flow smoothly making it a much nicer experience for the client.”
In 2018, Natasha passed her chartered accountancy exams on her first attempt, to become an ICAEW Chartered accountant. She was awarded with a certificate from the Northern Society of Chartered Accountants for the highest mark of the year, in the Audit and Assurance exam.
Natasha started with the firm working on Trader and Partnership accounts as well as VAT returns. As her knowledge has progressed, Natasha was promoted to a position in the Limited team carrying out audits from start to finish and overseeing junior members of the team’s work. Natasha works very closely with Managing Partner Alison Welton and Corporate Specialist Melanie Thomson. She uses her expert knowledge and experience to provide training sessions for our staff. As well as this, she is a Sage one certified advisor providing advice and assistance to our clients.
Natasha prides herself for being passionate about helping businesses achieve their full potential and her ability to push herself to learn more about our clients and how we can help them as a firm. Being friendly and efficient is very important to Natasha. Natasha is very proud to have been able to use her sewing skills during the Coronavirus pandemic to make masks for family and colleagues in her spare time.
