As active members of the Carlisle Ambassadors we were delighted to take part at the ‘Give A Day: Inspire’ event held at Carlisle College on Thursday 1 October. The Give A Day project is aimed at local businesses giving a day of their time and their services in order to benefit Carlisle and our local area. We have so many amazing and skilled people in our area and this project aims to encourage everyone to work together and combine their skills to help our community.
The event took place at Carlisle College and was aimed at helping people who are looking to start a new business. As business development specialists we were delighted to be on-hand to offer advice and guidance to those who would like to start their own business. We know how daunting starting out on your own can be, and how difficult it can all seem, which often puts many off, but there is no need for it to be this way. Having the right support network in place providing proactive start-up advice from the outset can ensure everything runs smoothly and we were delighted to speak to many new potential business start-ups offering our expertise.
There were a range of different businesses on hand to offer support and advice ranging from graphic designers to solicitors and training providers. A number of experts from a wide range of local businesses delivered talks offering advice and support, presenting first-hand tips that they had learned through experience when opening their own business.
We are very proud to be associated with the Give A Day project and look forward to their next event, for more information on the project visit: www.carlisleambassadors.co.uk/give-a-day-to-the-city.
