On Sunday 10 January some of the David Allen team dusted off their walking boots and headed to the Lake District for the first of our Charity of the Year organised walks.
A small team (including a couple of four legged friends) met at The Old Sawmill Tearoom just off the A591 and headed up to the top of Dodd (Skiddaw). The walk was a lot of fun and took the team around 2 hours, covering 4.5 miles in total. Although the January weather meant the air was chilly, everyone was full of enthusiasm to kick off the New Year with some exercise and make up for some of the treats enjoyed over the festive period.
The walk was part of our ongoing fundraising for the David Allen Charity of the Year initiative where we are raising as much money as we can for our nominated charities Eden Valley Hospice and Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland. We are holding a number of fundraising events throughout 2016, make sure you follow our Twitter account @DavidAllenDA to find out about our upcoming events and how you can get involved too or click here to learn more about our fundraising.
