|Dan during his skydive|
One of my lifetime ambitions has always been to do a skydive and I thought there was no better way than to raise money for charity at the same time.
My skydive was originally due to take place on Sunday 5 May, but after travelling down to Flookburgh and waiting for four hours for the weather to improve, the instructors decided it was too dangerous to jump and therefore rescheduled for Sunday 26 May.
This time the weather was much better and after getting kitted out in our jump suits and harnesses we got into the aircraft and travelled up to the height of 14,500 feet.
Eventually I was jumping out of the plane and falling at speeds of around 120 mph before the parachute was deployed and we gently floated back to ground.
It was an unforgettable experience and would recommend anyone to do it.
So far, for my charities of Cancer Research UK and Eden Valley Hospice I have managed to raise £1,750 so I would like to thank everyone who has kindly sponsored.
