Handover of ‘Charity of the Year’ grand total to Great North Air Ambulance Service

David Allen and Alison Welton visit the Langwathby base of Great North Air Ambulance Service to handover the funds.

On Friday 29 September David Allen and Alison Welton had the pleasure of visiting the Langwathby base of the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) to handover the funds generated from the David Allen Charity of the Year initiative.

Our charity partnership with GNAAS began back in September 2016 and since this time, following a full calendar of events, our team raised a staggering grand total of £27,119!

David Allen, Managing Partner said: “We recognise the importance of supporting the local community in which we live and work.  The GNAAS are saving lives across our county and I am really chuffed that we have raised more than £27,000 for such a fantastic cause.  I am proud that our Charity of the Year initiative continues to generate such a fantastic amount of money for local charities to benefit from and I would like to thank all of those individuals, businesses and professionals who have supported us during the last year.

Grahame Pickering MBE, Chief Executive from GNAAS: “We are absolutely delighted with the amount of money raised by the team at David Allen.  Their fundraising activities have been varied and fun and it’s been wonderful to see the whole team get so involved.  The passion and enthusiasm shown by everybody is admirable and they have been an absolute pleasure to work alongside.  The money raised will make a real difference to the patients that we care for in their time of need, which simply would not be possible without the support of the local community and businesses such as David Allen.”

GNAAS is completely reliant on donations to survive. Last year, it attended 354 incidents in Cumbria alone.  To find out more, please visit their website

Each year our team at David Allen will work with a nominated charity in order to give something back and help boost funding for these much valued services.  To learn more about the Charity of the Year initiative, to make a donation, or to apply to be next year’s chosen charity visit or call 01228 711888.
