|Guests enjoying the dinner|
On Saturday 20 July, Michael Peile, Craig Pollock and I invited 7 guests to join us at the Cumberland Agricultural Society 175th Dinner Dance at the Harrison and Hetherington Show Hall, Rosehill.
The compare for the evening was Robert Wharton, Vice Chair, followed by a speech by the current Chair, Gillian Potts who spoke very passionately about the Cumberland Show and its future, plus thanked all committee members who had gave their help in making the event happen on Saturday.
The evening’s entertainment featured a performance from The Strangers, a raffle and an auction. David Pritchard was guest auctioneer and prizes included family passes to Walby Farm Park, Days Golfing at Brampton Gold Club plus tickets to see Manchester United vs Arsenal later in the year, with the proceeds going towards the society.
The event attracted hundreds of guests and the Show Hall looked spectacular, so different from it’s normal use with livestock!
We would like to thank the society for a wonderful evening and our guests for their company.
