David Allen were very proud to sponsor the 2014 Dalston Show on Saturday 9 August.
Our team were busy setting up our stand on Friday afternoon, even managing to get our marquee set up before the heavens opened and thunderstorms and wind battered the show field.
Luckily, by Saturday morning the sun was peeking through the clouds as we arrived bright and early to give our stand its final preparations for the day ahead. With balloons blown up, drinks cooling in the fridge and a great view of the main ring we were ready to welcome everyone to our stand!
Our calf, Finlay, made the journey to the show field and was joined by our cow Buttercup who roamed the field throughout the day offering balloons and cuddles for young and old alike.
Keeping Buttercup and Finlay company, and manning our stand throughout the day, we had representatives from David Allen Agriculture, Accountancy, IT Solutions News and Wealth Management. Everyone from the David Allen team thoroughly enjoyed the show, soaking up the atmosphere and welcoming clients, contacts, friends and new faces on to our stand. Our team were on hand with refreshments, information, advice and a great view of both the main ring to one side and the horse ring to the other.
We had a record number of competition entries this year with our “what’s my hobby?” competition seeing entrants match a David Allen team member to their hobby (proving we’re not just boring accountants) with hobbies such as alpacas, running and even playing the accordion! We will announce the winner of our luxury hamper and all of the correct answers soon so keep checking our website.
We were delighted to be presented with the 1st place rosette and tankard for the ‘best trade stand’ and would like to thank and congratulate the Dalston Show Committee for putting on yet another fantastic show.
On behalf of all at David Allen we would like to thank everyone who made the show possible and all who came along to see us on the day. We hope that you all enjoyed the show as much as we did and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2015.
