The British Ports Association Annual Conference ended last night with a gala dinner at the Low Wood Bay Resort and Marina near Windermere and David Allen was there to represent our interests. This was the first time the conference was hosted by the Port of Workington and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, Stephen Hammond MP, was there to start proceedings and spoke about how our area is unique in its diversity of industry from tourism to nuclear submarine building.
