Each year the Carlisle City Council looks for the most deserving people to receive the Borough’s highest accolade. Presented annually, the Civic Awards are given to those who have been nominated by their peers and judged by the community to be worthy.
The Carlisle City Council’s Civic Awards were held at the authority’s Civic Centre headquarters this week.
David Allen received an award for his commitment to creating a safe environment for young people in Carlisle as chairman of Carlisle Youth Zone; a project that is close to David’s heart.
David was proud to accept his award from Mayor of Carlisle Mrs Mary Styth and would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support with the Youth Zone.
