The third in our series of workplace pension and auto enrolment events took place on Saturday 12 September with a number of guests coming along to our Dalston office to learn more about how the new workplace pension scheme will affect them as employees.
Our presentation began with one of our Independent Financial Advisers, Steve Balmer, explaining what auto enrolment is and why it is happening, giving guests all the information they need to know along with current facts and figures on pensions and how to get the best plan available. I then went on to explain the importance of a payslip and the different pension contributions both an employee and an employer can make to add to your pension pot.
Trudi Dickinson, our Wills and Estate Specialist finished the session off by explaining the importance of having an up-to-date Will. She talked about how easy it is to have one written for you and the implications to your loved ones if you don’t have one in place.
Our employee events are interactive and we are always happy to answer any questions our guests have involving workplace pensions. We can also offer valuable advice that employers are legally not allowed to give to their employees. Our guests on Saturday morning were great and really got into the swing of things! We had a fantastic group discussion concerning how the workplace pension scheme is going to affect them individually.
Don’t worry if you couldn’t make it along to this session, we will be hosting another two Employee Evenings on 12 January and 16 March 2016 between 6 and 7pm. If you would like to book a FREE place please contact Vicky Johnston on 01228 711888 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
