Funding for those affected by the Cumbrian floods

Following the recent devastating floods across Cumbria, a number of different funding schemes have been released in order to assist those who have been affected. 

These schemes are aimed at helping those whose home, business or farmland has been affected by the storms and flooding, offering support to aid the recovery process. 

For businesses, the Cumbria Growth Hub have made funding available to those who have been affected either directly with premises being damaged, or indirectly through issues such as road closures, with grants being made available to small and medium sized businesses.  For more information on funding available to businesses and details of how to apply please click here.

For individuals, families and community organisations, the Cumbria Community Foundation have funding available for those whose homes have been flooded or experienced structural damage, as well as for individuals who have lost work or income due to the effects of the storm or flood.  For more information on the Cumbria Flood Appeal funding and how to apply please click here.

Defra are offering support payments of up to £20,000 for farmers affected by the flooding through the Farming Recovery Fund in order to help restore damaged agricultural land.  Click here to find out more information on this funding and details of how to apply.
