It can often be difficult to get your Wi-Fi to cover your whole building but there are several ways to make it cover a greater radius and have a stronger connection. A couple of great ways to help your Wi-Fi stretch further come in the form of devices called UniFi access points and AirBridges.
UniFi wireless access points (WAPs) provide Wi-Fi and you can have as many access points as you want in your building. The picture below shows four access points in one building and the areas of which they cover. The Wi-Fi is strongest in the yellow area and ends at the edge of the purple circle. The closer to the middle point you are the stronger your connection will be, and the more WAPs you have across your building the greater distance you cover with your Wi-Fi.
If you would like your Wi-Fi to reach across to an adjacent or nearby building you are able to use a device called an AirBridge. This device can sit in another office near your UniFi wireless access point and as long as the access point is in range of the AirBridge then you can transmit Wi-Fi from the access point to the other building, ensuring that everyone in both offices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
At David Allen IT Solutions News we can provide both UniFi access points and AirBridges for you. We will not just complete the initial installation of the hardware but we will make sure that you are getting the best Wi-Fi coverage available for you while monitoring your Wi-Fi performance in order to ensure there are no glitches in your connection.
