Is your Android phone secure?

A vulnerability has been found by the Bluebox Security research team (Bluebox Labs) in the Android operating system that affects devices released since 2009; this covers a very large percentage of the Android devices in use today.

These Trojan applications can gain any and all permissions on your device which grants access to emails, contacts, storage, photos, company data and anything else the device stores or uses and would go completely unnoticed by the application store, the phone, or you, the user.

Discoveries like this highlight the importance of having clear security policies when it comes to mobile devices and tablets accessing company emails and data.  There are different ways to secure your devices and many levels of control you can apply to give you the peace of mind that your company data is secure wherever it may be.
