The Centre for Leadership Performance launched their first Leadership at Lunch Masterclass on Thursday 24 April 2014 at Westlakes Science Park. I was present along with many other leaders and managers from local businesses.
Guest speaker for the first event was Pauline Clare. As the UK's first female Chief Constable and now a respected coach, Pauline has a wealth of knowledge and experience and certainly delivered a thought provoking and inspirational session.
Transformational leadership was vital to Pauline's positive changes to Lancashire Constabulary and Pauline also highlighted the importance of understanding emotional intelligence as a leader and how this can be harnessed to make businesses even more successful.
During the interactive masterclass delegates had the opportunity to reflect on their own approaches to leadership which produced some interesting discussions.
The Leadership at Lunch events aim to provide an opportunity to learn from businesses' leading figures during your lunch break then return to work and put the ideas into practice straight away.
