David Allen Chartered Accountants was given the mayoral seal of approval on Wednesday when staff welcomed Mary Styth, Mayor of Carlisle and her Consort Jim Styth to our offices in Dalston. This was one of her last official visits before she steps down as Mayor next week.
Many local people have praised Mary’s lifelong commitment to the people of Carlisle, helping numerous charities and giving opportunities to those less fortunate. Mary has successfully raised over £159,200 in her year as Mayor of Carlisle and has brought these businesses together in support of this common cause.
Mary arrived at 1pm and spent more than an hour at our office, where she toured each department, observing people working and met with staff. During lunch Mary and Jim were presented with gifts in appreciation of their kindness and support.
I feel truly honoured that Mary and Jim wanted to take time out of their very hectic schedule to visit us and I would like to thank them on behalf of the David Allen team.
