On Tuesday 13 and Wednesday 14 October we were proud to be exhibitors at the 2015 n-eboc conference which took place at Energus in Workington.
Hosted by the Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC), the conference showcased the best of the nuclear sector in and around West Cumbria and covered subjects such as:
- Research and Development
- Nuclear New Build
- UK Submarine Programme
- Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste
There were a number of speakers over the two day conference, each sharing insights into their own area of expertise. Between the presentation sessions, delegates were able to tour the many exhibitor stands and network with other delegates and sponsors. It was great to learn more about my fellow exhibitors and catch up with old friends, as well as meet new ones!
My colleagues and I were also delighted to be able to attend the networking dinner on the Tuesday evening at Hunday Manor Country House Hotel where again there was opportunity to network with other attendees while enjoying a wonderful canapé reception. This was followed by a delicious, Cumbrian inspired, three-course dinner with Andy Wyatt as our Dinner Speaker. Andy is a former pilot of the Royal Airforce Aerobatic Team, The Red Arrows, and not only was his speech inspirational and engaging but his passion for our country was infectious.
n-eboc gave all who took part the opportunity to showcase their products, services, and innovations with their peers who visited from not only Cumbria, but across the UK, Europe and beyond. It also gave members of Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster the chance to demonstrate why West Cumbria is a great place for investment and innovation – something I feel very passionately about and am proud to be a part of.
