I am delighted to say we now have a permanent booth at H & H in the concourse area. This is a great opportunity for me and my team to be on hand to not only speak to our clients at the auction but also attract new business to the firm in informal surroundings.
The booth was completed in time for the Border British Blue Club 21st annual show and sale on the 21 and 22 May. The show featured a fantastic show of livestock with 24 classes and Judge Alistair Smart from Aberdeenshire had a difficult task picking a winner. The overall Supreme Champion was ‘Faughanvale Ernie ET’, a 22 month old bull owned by Sam Milliken, Northern Ireland and originally bred by Oliver McGuiness.
The Friday show was rounded of with the Club’s annual dinner held at the Shepherds Inn which Emma Pigg and I attended for the 5th consecutive year. We enjoyed lovely food and great company and look forward to next year’s event.
The sale on Saturday was well attended by perspective buyers and breeders with the Supreme Champion bull achieving top price at the sale… reaching 14,000gns (£14.700). There were a number of bulls also achieving 5 figures prices which was a great result for the Annual event.
