Michael was appointed as a Partner at David Allen in May 2013 and also sits on the Board of Directors for David Allen AgriBusiness. He joined the practice in 2001 when he came on two weeks work experience during his summer holidays. Following this he decided that accountancy was the career for him and he took a full-time position with the practice and began his training. Michael completed his Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) training before going on to become a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Focusing on the agricultural and construction sectors, Michael works closely with his portfolio of clients to help them navigate the complex area of accountancy and tax. He also provides specialist advice and support on tax planning, business development strategies, and assists in business deals including finance to allow businesses to develop and move to the next level.
Michael was brought up on the family farm at Blencogo and has first-hand experience of the agriculture sector. He now has his own small holding at Waverton where he lives with his wife Michelle and two children. In his spare time he plays cricket for Baggrow.
