Reduced costs for first time buyers!

IT support and maintenance 3

The Chancellor, Philip Hammond, delivered his first Autumn Budget on Wednesday 22 November, after previously announcing the main Budget would return to the Autumn followed by a Spring Statement in 2018.

One of the biggest announcements from the Chancellor during the Budget was the abolishment of Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) for first time buyers, with a purchase price of up to £300,000, meaning 80% of people buying their first home will have no SDLT to pay!

This is great news for those keen to get on the housing ladder, when saving money for a deposit is difficult enough.  The potential saving in the house buying process could now be thousands!
