|Jaimi during the challenge|
A few weeks ago myself and a few other friends from Crossfit Cumbria decided to join in a marathon indoor rowing challenge to raise money for charity.
On 14 December, with only a few short training sessions under our belts we took on the 42,195 metre challenge. A gruelling 3 hours and 40 minutes later I had completed the entire distance. It was a great challenge (mainly psychologically!) to keep going and get to the end.
I could barely stand up as the lactic acid had taken over my legs and my hands were covered in blisters but I felt a great sense of achievement completing the marathon and am extremely happy to have contributed to the few thousand pounds we have raised for four fantastic charities; The Fire-fighters Charity, The Anthony Nolan Trust, Prostate Cancer and Cancer Research UK.
