Earlier this morning (9 September) David Allen hosted our third Sage seminar of the year at Dalmar House, Dalston.
Ben Huston, Regional Development Manager from Sage was our guest speaker. He explained the Sage CIS add on functionality and its benefits such as tailored nominal codes, setup and verification of subcontractors from within the software, automatic production of subcontractor payment and deduction statements and automatic production and submission of CIS returns.
Ben also demonstrated the functions of Sage projects and showed how to budget, quote and report on specific jobs. This allows a detailed job costing so any business can see what is most profitable and where savings need to be made.
With less than 20 guests the seminar had a nice intimate feel about it allowing each attendee to understand all subjects covered thoroughly.
The question and answer session following the seminar was great as it gave our guests the chance to ask any questions, not only to Sage themselves but also to myself and David Scott too. The seminar was very interactive and gave us a chance to understand exactly what every attendee wanted so Ben could then go on to demonstrate specific functions.
Our seminars are a great opportunity to fully understand the different Sage packages and features and see them live in action; they are completely free and full of useful information on how the software can help any business. Our next seminar is taking place on 28 January 2015 and will be focussed on the charity functions that Sage offer. More information on the seminar will be available soon but in the meantime if you would like to book an early bird place or find out anything more about Sage and the different products available contact myself or David Scott today!
