Debt Recovery specialist Aaron Sambells explains why he chose David Allen when he relocated to Cumbria.
My fiancée and I decided to relocate in 2020 as most of our family had already made the move themselves, we fell in love with Cumbria every time we visited them. Our two children were the deciding factor, we wanted them to experience the Cumbrian way of life.
I knew I wanted a role like the one I was in at the time of moving. I was offered an interview at three different companies, I took a day off work and arranged them so they were all on the same day. When I was greeted at David Allen, I felt comfortable from start to finish and I was able to meet David Allen before my interview. I was offered all three of the jobs that I interviewed for; I had a hard decision to make!
I chose to work at David Allen because of their local rapport, the new exciting role on offer to me, the friendliness of the staff and also the opportunity to develop an already excellent service.

Although my role at David Allen is very different to the one I had in Manchester, I use the same skills and knowledge. I feel part of a team at David Allen, I no longer work on my own and knock on debtors’ doors.
In five years’ time, I would like to have added extra services to the current David Allen Recovery Solutions offering. I would like to build on our client base and therefore recruit more people into the team. I would like to develop my own role even further, building on my knowledge and experience so I can work towards becoming the department manager. David Allen can help and support me with these ambitions by helping me put my ideas into practise and build the brand awareness of David Allen Debt Recovery.
