The weather could not have been better this weekend in Cockermouth to welcome the huge number of visitors arriving at the Taste Cumbria Food Festival.
Friday night started out with a beer festival at Jennings Brewery and a comedy night at the Trout Hotel. The town was heaving on Saturday as celebrity and local chefs demonstrated their skills in Christ Church and the Riversmeet Building. The marquee, set up at the Trout Hotel was the place to be if soul music is your thing as local band Soul City Walkers were performing to a packed crowd.
The street stalls were busy again on Sunday and many shops had stayed open all weekend, the main street and Market Square were packed yet again.
The Food Festival was a wonderful success for the town of Cockermouth and it was great to see everyone enjoying the atmosphere.
