The Wedding of Mr & Mrs Tickle

Posted: April 9th, 2014

On Saturday 5 April 2014 Leanne one of our Tax Assistants got married to Ben Tickle, a Sales Representative at Steadmans.

Shortly after midday, two beautiful BMWs arrived outside of Caldbeck Church with the bridesmaids in one and the blushing bride in the other.  Our very own Craig Pollock was on hand with his chauffeur hat on, tasked with opening the car doors for Leanne and her two sisters.

Craig then joined Emma Pigg and I as we waited for Leanne to make her grand entrance, walk down the aisle and marry Ben.

As Ben and Leanne walked out of the church as husband and wife, the sun was shining brightly and the Caldbeck Cricket Team were waiting outside for them to do the guard of honour with their cricket bats – a fitting tribute for cricket mad Ben!

The wedding breakfast was held at Greenhill Hotel Wigton.  We enjoyed speeches from Leanne’s two sisters, Ben’s dad, Ben and the best man, followed by afternoon entertainment of watching the Grand National on the big screen.  As a wedding favour from Ben and Leanne, we were all given a £1 ‘to win’ bet for a horse running in the race.  With no one owning up to the winner an investigation took place, only to find out it was the best man who was too nervous about his speech to even realise his horse was the winner!

After a luxurious three course meal, it was time for Ben and Leanne to welcome the evening guests, where some more of our David Allen colleagues joined us.

The wedding was truly spectacular and the Greenhill Hotel was decorated beautifully, with Ben and Leanne both being keen cyclists the table decorations were bicycles, and old fashioned bikes covered in flowers for decoration.

Ben and Leanne are now jetting off to Australia to enjoy their honeymoon for four weeks!

From all at David Allen, we wish them all the best and luck in the world and a future full of happiness.  We look forward to welcoming Mrs Tickle back to the office in four weeks time.
