The regular Cumbria Chamber of Commerce West Cumbria Business Breakfast Club meetings are always a great way to start off the day and Jane and myself attended the latest one on Tuesday 17 September 2013 at Hunday Manor Hotel.
Over a continental breakfast we were treated to three enlightening and informative presentations. First up was an old school friend of mine – Tony Wilson from Indelible Data. Tony explained the importance of data security and gave examples of occurrences when security could be compromised.
Kate Wilson of Business Toolbox Cumbria talked about the different approaches of sales and marketing and how each are valuable in developing your business plus how important it is to have a strategy and to communicate your plans to everyone in your team.
Finally, Emma Blaney, the Project Co-ordinator at Cumbria Business Growth Hub gave everyone an update about the support available to businesses through the growth hub programme.
The breakfast event is sponsored by HFT Gough & Co and is held on the third Tuesday of every month so we look forward to the next one in October.
