The last of this series of the West Cumbrian Business Breakfast Club, sponsored by H.F.T.Gough & Co Solicitors took place on Tuesday 15 April 2014 so it was fitting that David Tew a trainee solicitor from Gough’s was one of the guest speakers at the event.
David’s session entitled “for want of a nail” covered the pitfalls of trying to fight a legal battle yourself and how the correct initial advice might save you money in the long run.
We were also delighted to have the opportunity to be one of the guest speakers and Neil Kendall, Director of David Allen IT Solutions News (pictured) spoke about the potential security risks to those still using Windows XP operating systems. Business owners present were also keen to ask Neil about password security following our recent e-bulletin on the Heartbleed bug and its security risks.
Finally we were entertained by Daley Rogers from CFM Radio who gave us a short introduction into the power of audio and how it is used to influence and engage with listeners.
The West Cumbria Business Breakfast Club will be back after a short Summer break and we look forward to meeting up with everyone then.
