The 214th Westmorland County Show (Thursday 12 September 2013) was yet again a much attended event in the show calender. Julie Osborn and myself along with thousands of others attended the show, in what initially looked like a ‘damp’ day, but turned into a lovely September day.

The show attracted special guests including TV chef Phil Vickery, doing a cookery demonstration in the food theatre, to HRH The Countess of Wessex, who took a keen interest in the exhibitors and livestock.
There was a wonderful turn out of cattle and sheep from Zwartbles to Beef Shorthorns, and a difficult job for the judges.

Well done to our colleague Sarah Priestley, who was showing her limousin and Commercial cattle and received reserve spot in the North West Heifer Champion with Brontemoor Gladioli who also took champion limousin at Penrith Show earlier this year.
A great day and look forward to 2014.
