Last Wednesday, myself and my boyfriend James set off to our local show just a few miles along the road to Wigtown, to support and show his Texel sheep. As we set off the rain from the night before had stopped, but by the time we arrived at the show it was back with us, so it was definitely a wellies, leggings and jacket day!
After the madness of getting the trailers on to the showfield, the judging eventually got started, in the rain.
I was helping out our friend and gained him the Texel Championship so a well earned drink was then a must, along with some hospitality lunch.
As the rain decided to stop around 4.00pm, we got loaded up and got the sheep off the showfield, one of the very few lucky ones that didn’t need pulled off!
Overall it was a wet day but goes to prove you can enjoy the agricultural shows whatever the weather!
