Sheryl Dobson

I started working for David Allen in 2011 in the Payroll Team and moved across after a couple of months to join the Accounts Team.  I knew straight away that Accounts was what I wanted to do.  I was given the opportunity to complete my AAT.  Once qualified I enjoyed mentoring the new starters, which is where my passion for training developed.

During my time at David Allen I have so far completed my ILM Level 3 Diploma in Management and I am starting my mental health first aid in June this year.

I was keen to work for David Allen, as they are a fantastic local firm, the office really stood out when I came for my interview and having already known some people who worked here, I knew it was a great place to be.

I particularly enjoy that every day is different, and you never know what query is going to be thrown your way.  The satisfaction from knowing you’ve helped someone out is very rewarding.

My greatest professional achievement is completing AAT and management course and plus being promoted to Manager.

I live in Wigton with my fiancé and two children.  On a weekend you’ll find us out and about exploring new places or hiking up the local fells.
