Over the last few months, Scott Robinson Joinery like many small companies made the transition to Xero for their bookkeeping and general accounts. We were thrilled to be able to help guide them through streamlining their business and bookkeeping alongside helping them get ahead for ‘making tax digital’. We spoke to Lindsey Robinson on behalf of her husband Scott’s business to find out more about how they implemented the software and how we were able to support them.
“I’ve always prepared my husbands’ books for his joinery company. When he first went into business I was actually quite excited to set up the first Excel spreadsheet to monitor incomings and outgoings. 17 years later I can’t say I feel as excited about them anymore! Thankfully, our Accountant, Leanne Harkness talked us into switching everything over to Xero, not only to streamline our bookkeeping processes but to be one ahead of the game for ‘making tax digital’ when this comes into force in 2024’.
Chris Martin helped me to set everything up which was very straight forward and then Leanne helped me understand my queries. I was happy to have everything ready for the change to digital but actually what it has done is made doing our books so much simpler. I feel like I understand our accounts so much more and it means we will be ready in record time next year when it’s our end of year! Everything feels so much more professional and organised now which is great peace of mind.
I can’t thank Leanne and the team enough – farewell Excel… hello Xero!”
