Three members of the David Allen team have been given the opportunity to further their education, with business college and learning moving online.
Michael McCaul, Accounts Senior, Hannah Reay, Accounts Assistant, and Rob Currie, Accounts Assistant will be supported through business college where they will study to achieve their Chartered Accountancy status.
Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic the trio will be attending Kaplan remotely, which will bring about new challenges and opportunities for them all. Lectures will be held online in virtual classrooms, with studying and coursework completed in their own time at home.
All three of the future Chartered Accountants will be able to work alongside each other, supporting each other throughout their degree. As well as this, they have an enormous support network from their colleagues at David Allen.
Rob Currie said: “It’s going to be different to what we had expected but an exciting opportunity. It’s nice to have the support of others too, so you don’t feel like you are doing this alone. The whole team works together very well and there is always someone who can point you in the right direction.”
There are many advantages to working remotely; more time to learn from colleagues, less time away from the office and less travel. Remote working is becoming the new normal for most businesses so the challenge is not going to deter our students.
Michael, Hannah and Rob are all very thankful to David Allen for supporting them through this career opportunity.
Hannah said: “We are all looking forward to expanding our accountancy knowledge and using this to share best practice with others. Continuing our personal development is important to all of us and the chartered qualification will open up new opportunities for us too.”
David Allen pride themselves on developing their people, allowing them to work up the career ladder and gain new qualifications that will enhance the service they can provide to their clients. Colleagues working towards qualifications receive support and mentoring from more experienced colleagues along the way, allowing them to learn on the job as well as gain a formal qualification.
