Joanne Stout

As Payroll Senior, I manage a wide range of payroll services, including processing and setting up payrolls, ensuring auto-enrolment compliance, processing Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) payments and responding to queries from both colleagues and clients. I am the main point of contact for Xero Payroll, a system I thoroughly enjoy working with due to its flexibility and user-friendliness.

My journey to David Allen was shaped by a relocation to Cumbria in 2023. I was drawn to the welcoming culture, which was highly recommended to me, so knew it was the perfect fit for me. Having worked in payroll for a number of years, I hold a Level 5 qualification in Payroll Management. As part of my role I stay up to date with all things payroll with regular training and webinars, which is something we are really passionate about to ensure that we are experts in our field. I love collaborating with the team, sharing knowledge on Xero Payroll and working together to get the best for our clients.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is the opportunity to work with so many clients and it is lovely to be able to meet clients face-to-face with the events we sponsor like the Aspatria Rugby Club event and the Dumfries Show.

When I am not processing payroll and at work, I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with my four border collies, competing in dog agility and exploring new hobbies like pickleball and golf.
