Alice Beattie

I joined the firm after finishing school in 2017, beginning my career as an Accounts Apprentice.  In May 2021, I proudly completed my Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification and immediately began working towards becoming a Chartered Accountant (ACA).  Becoming a Chartered Accountant was a significant milestone in my career and something I am extremely proud of.

Before joining the firm, I completed a week’s work experience placement, and after just three days, I knew this was the place for me.  The professionalism and welcoming environment make it an enjoyable and supportive place to work.  Having grown up on my family farm, joining the Agriculture team felt like the perfect fit.  My background gives me valuable insight into the farming industry, helping me to truly understand our clients’ needs.

As the Agricultural Manager, I head up our Agricultural Accountancy team and enjoy being able to combine both my passion for farming and expertise within accountancy.  Client care is at the forefront of everything we do in our team and I find working with clients extremely rewarding.  Seeing their businesses grow and succeed as a result of the advice and support we provide is particularly satisfying.

Away from the office and when I am not busy on the farm, I am the treasurer of the Penrith Agricultural Society.  This is a great opportunity for me to spend time in the community, and the highlight of our year is always the Penrith show in July, it is great to see so many people, the fantastic livestock in the area and celebrate agriculture in Cumbria.
