Daniel Scott

Being from Cumbria, I have always valued supporting the local community and enjoy discovering niche, independent businesses such as cafés while exploring the Lake District.  This is what initially drew me to David Allen, as I was able to recognise our strong community involvement through local initiatives and charities such as Watchtree, alongside our genuine commitment to our people through investment in training and a focus on mental wellbeing.

After achieving a First Class Honours qualification in Biology from Durham University, where I developed a disciplined mindset, analytical skills and teamwork, I chose to begin my career in accounting.  My technical background and client focused communication skills are supporting my progress towards becoming ICAEW Level 7 qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Through previous client facing roles, I have been motivated by contributing to client success and understanding individual needs, recognising that a strong customer experience begins with truly listening.  I am excited to continue growing within the business and providing advice that helps businesses thrive.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking in the Lake District, running and training at the gym, as well as setting personal challenges such as running a Lake District marathon.  I also value downtime in nature, spending time with my family and pets and travelling.
