Helping people has always been at the heart of what I do. Before joining David Allen, I worked as a Care Assistant for four years, where I developed valuable skills in communication, organisation, empathy and supporting people through a variety of situations. While I found the role rewarding, I knew I wanted to challenge myself, gain professional qualifications and build a long term career that would allow me to continue developing both personally and professionally.

My interest in Accountancy was influenced by my Auntie, who has worked in the profession for many years. Learning about her career inspired me to explore the industry for myself and after returning to college to further my education, I realised this was the direction I wanted to pursue. I am now working to become a qualified Accountant committed to supporting both clients and employees.

The opportunities for training, development and career progression made David Allen the ideal place to start my accountancy journey. Since joining, I have found everyone to be supportive, approachable and willing to share their knowledge, creating a positive environment where you are encouraged to learn and grow, our values around knowledge, ambition and respect really resonated with me.

One of the aspects I enjoy most about my role is building relationships with clients and colleagues. I pride myself on being approachable, caring and a good communicator and I find it particularly rewarding when I can help others and make a positive difference through my work. My ambition is to complete my AAT qualification and continue progressing my career within David Allen, gaining further qualifications, such as a Chartered, and experience along the way. I am excited by the opportunity to continue learning, explore different areas of the business and build a successful career in accountancy.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, spending time with my grandparents and going for walks while listening to podcasts. I also have a keen interest in travelling, learning about different cultures and languages and I am currently continuing to develop my Spanish while learning Italian.
