Isabel Christmas

I joined David Allen for a week of work experience in 2023, which gave me a valuable insight into the role of an accountant and confirmed that it was a career I wanted to pursue.  Just as importantly, I was struck by the supportive culture and friendly atmosphere within the business.  Seeing colleagues willing to help and encourage one another showed me the kind of workplace I wanted to be part of.

During my studies, I achieved an A* in my Extended Project Qualification, which explored how workplace environments can influence individual performance.  This gave me a greater appreciation of the importance of a positive workplace culture and reinforced why David Allen stood out to me as an employer.

Today, I work as an Accounts Assistant in the Traders team, supporting Sole Traders and Partnerships with their accountancy needs.  I enjoy developing my knowledge, building relationships with clients and helping businesses gain confidence in their finances.  As I continue to progress in my career, my goal is to qualify as a Chartered Accountant and further expand the support I can provide to clients.

Outside of work, I enjoy artistic gymnastics and hiking, both of which have taught me the value of resilience, discipline and determination.  Whether in work or in my personal life, I am always looking for opportunities to learn, develop and challenge myself.
