As a Probate Advisor at David Allen, I support clients through the probate process and the administration of deceased estates, from the initial stages through to final estate closure. This includes assessing estate values, preparing Grant of Probate applications, managing estate accounts, liaising with third parties and helping recover estate assets once the Grant has been issued. My interest in probate and estate administration developed during my law degree, where I particularly enjoyed this area of study. I hold an Australian Law degree from the University of Southern Queensland and have provided similar services in Australia.
Probate can feel overwhelming, particularly at an already difficult time for families. It can involve tax, property, trusts, estates and legal requirements, so my role is to make the process as clear and straightforward as possible. I focus on providing practical advice, clear communication and technical support without unnecessary jargon.
At David Allen, we understand the importance of handling Probate services across Cumbria with care, respect and attention to detail. Behind every estate is a person, a family and a set of wishes that need to be upheld. I take pride in helping families feel supported and reassured throughout the process.
My career has given me experience across finance, business, law and client relationship management. I began in corporate finance, working across due diligence, audit, risk and credit management, before moving into senior roles in Australia, including Head of Business and Corporate Governance and Assurance for the country’s largest non-bank lender. I later became Partner, then Director, in an accounting and taxation agency, and also worked as a consultant to a law firm, supporting growth and business development.
That experience has shaped how I approach probate today. Clients do not need complicated jargon or unnecessary delays; they need clear guidance, trusted support and confidence that things are being handled properly.
