Mark McPhillips

In my role as an IT Engineer at David Allen IT Solutions, I support clients with a wide range of technical requirements, from day-to-day IT support through to more complex infrastructure projects.  I am involved in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, installing and maintaining systems and working closely with clients to ensure their technology supports the way they work.

No two days are ever the same.  I enjoy the variety that comes with working across different client environments, particularly getting hands-on with networking projects, UniFi devices and CCTV systems.  I find this mix of challenge and problem solving both engaging and rewarding.

My career in IT spans many years.  After initially working in the sector, I moved into electrical engineering, gaining valuable technical and analytical skills, before returning to IT with a broader and more practical perspective.  This combination of experience allows me to approach problems logically and deliver reliable, well-considered solutions.  I hold a Higher National Certificate in Information Technology and a Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, both of which have been instrumental in developing my technical knowledge and understanding of complex systems.

The most fulfilling part of my role is seeing a project through from start to finish and knowing it has made a real difference for the client.  I enjoy building strong client relationships and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.  Clients have described me as polite, professional and willing to go above and beyond to ensure they are completely happy before a job is signed off.  Looking ahead, I am keen to continue developing my skills, particularly in ethical hacking and cyber security.  This is an area I am passionate about and excited to explore further as my role continues to evolve at David Allen IT Solutions.

Outside of work, I am an avid 3D designer and 3D printing enthusiast, which allows me to explore creativity alongside technical precision.
