Megan Powell

I am currently completing a placement year with the Agricultural Accountancy team at David Allen, alongside my BSc (Hons) Agribusiness Management degree at Harper Adams University. I am learning how financial data translates into practical decisions on the farm, shaping livestock management, crop planning and investment in new technology. I am gaining experience with accounting software and understanding the broader context of the farming industry has opened my eyes to how numbers directly connect to day to day farming life. My time at David Allen has strengthened not only my skills in accounting and agriculture but also my confidence has grown along side my ability to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients.

From my very first day, I felt welcomed and really part of the team, which has enabled me to build valuable connections and gain insights into other areas of the business. I am eager to continue learning, taking on greater responsibilities, and applying this practical knowledge to my work outside the office, particularly on my family farm.
