Michael was appointed as agricultural Partner at David Allen in May 2013. He joined the practice in 2001 when he came on two weeks work experience during his summer holidays. Michael completed his Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) training before going on to become a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Focusing on the agricultural and construction sectors, Michael works closely with his clients to help them navigate the complex area of accountancy and tax. He also provides specialist advice and support on tax planning, business development strategies, and assists in business deals including finance to allow businesses to develop and move to the next level.
Michael was brought up on the family farm at Blencogo and has first-hand experience of the agriculture sector. He now has his own Dairy farm at Waverton where he lives with his wife Michelle and two children. In his spare time he plays cricket for Baggrow.
