Samia Caley

My interest in accountancy first started having strong interests in maths at school, I loved being able to solve problems and the rewarding feeling I got when I got an answer correct.  I then studied business at college particularly enjoying the finance unit.  This then inspired me to look into accountancy further which brought me to working towards my Level 3 Accounts Assistant qualification at David Allen.  I was already aware of the firm’s strong reputation for supporting apprentices, but after attending a careers evening, I felt confident that David Allen would provide the training and guidance I needed to grow professionally, deliver excellent service to clients, and work towards further qualifications.

In my role as an Accounts Assistant Apprentice, my responsibilities are to prepare and draft VAT returns and accounts for sole traders and partnerships.  I feel so lucky to work alongside others that I can not only rely on but also are as committed to succeeding as I am.

When not at my desk I enjoy supporting my local football team Carlisle United as well as spending short breaks away exploring new cities, experiences that help me recharge and stay inspired.
