Susie Harrison

Working as an Accounts Supervisor in our Corporate team at David Allen Chartered Accountants, I really enjoy being part of a team where we all combined our individual strengths and experience to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.  A big part of my job is helping people manage their businesses with ease, offering them support looking to plan for their business.

I understand the challenges and demands of running a small enterprise, having previously been a partner in a small family business.  This experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the needs and demands of business owners and equipped me with so many valuable skills, such as strong communication and organisational abilities.

I really appreciate the support David Allen has given me to pursue my professional ambitions.  Since joining, I have successfully completed my AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting which I completed through self-study.  This is a reflection of the opportunity for continuous development here and I am excited to continue growing my technical knowledge and business insight so that I can contribute in an even greater way to helping businesses in and around Cumbria grow and succeed.

My colleagues would describe me as approachable, always willing to help and eager to take on new challenge and I would like to think this works well in my role, I enjoy working closely with all the member in our team and understanding their strengths so we can work smoothly with one another to make sure we do the best for our clients.  As I am responsible for supporting team development, I get to help drive process improvements across the team, which is truly rewarding and motivates me to keep looking for new ways we can grow and work even more effectively.

On the weekend you will find me cheering my children and stepchildren on at football and rugby matches.  I also enjoy making jewelry and run my own Etsy shop as a little something for me.
