Thomas Doswell

Whether I am on the football pitch, refereeing a match or cheering on Carlisle United, I have always enjoyed being part of a team and continuously learning from those around me. That same mindset is what I bring to my role as a Tax Assistant at David Allen, where I am developing my knowledge across a range of Tax areas while working closely with experienced members of the team.

Having completed my A Levels at Trinity School, I joined David Allen and am qualifying for a Level 4 Taxation Technician. I enjoy learning from colleagues across the team, gaining practical experience and building my understanding of the ever changing tax landscape. Every day presents an opportunity to develop new skills, expand my knowledge and find ways to support both clients and colleagues.

What attracted me to David Allen was the firm’s strong reputation across Carlisle and beyond. The positive feedback I heard from both clients and employees made it clear that the business values its people and is committed to delivering an excellent service, making it a place where I was excited to begin my career.

Outside of work, football plays a big part in my life. I play regularly on Saturdays, support Carlisle United and referee men’s Sunday league matches. These experiences have helped me develop skills such as communication, decision making, teamwork and staying calm under pressure, all of which are valuable in a professional environment.
